History & Architecture
Opened in 1928, The Peninsula Hong Kong is the oldest operating hotel in the territory. Located at the intersection of Salisbury Road and Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, the hotel is housed in a neoclassical building, which was expanded in 1994 with a 30-story tower topped by a helipad. The architectural design of the original lobby features gilded plasterwork, columns, and detailed cornices, serving as a landmark of British colonial-era hotel design. The hotel has historically accommodated heads of state, diplomats, and international travelers arriving via the Kowloon-Canton Railway.

The hotel features 300 guest rooms and suites, designed with a blend of classic European elements and modern digital room controls. Facilities include a Roman-style indoor swimming pool overlooking Victoria Harbour, a luxury spa covering 1,115 square meters, and a collection of award-winning restaurants. Dining options include Gaddi’s, the first French fine-dining restaurant in Hong Kong, and Spring Moon, serving traditional Cantonese cuisine. The hotel operates a fleet of custom Rolls-Royce Phantom extended wheelbase vehicles for guest transportation.
